Who has your data and what we are doing (or not doing) with it

We want to keep this simple: We are not doing this to collect or sell your data.

Collecting some of your data is required for the whole website to make sense, but we do not store anything you do not explicitly share with us, i.e. your podcast playing habits. We use that data for what is visible on this website, and nothing else. And we will never ever share your data with anyone else. We know that podcast data is the hot new shit, but we are fans of independent podcasting and we're opposed to what Spotify and ad-tech is trying to do to podcasts.

You can always contact us and we will export or destroy all your data for good.

While using our website and API our server will obviously learn your IP address – but we won't store it anywhere intentionally. Our server is hosted by DigitalOcean, whose legal information (and DPA) can be found here. We are using Plausible Analytics to better understand how the website is used "without collecting any personal data or personally identifiable information (PII), without using cookies and while respecting the privacy of the website visitors". This quote is from their Data Policy, please check it out for more details.

Please reach out if you feel unsure about how we handle your data. We are always more than happy to improve or clarify.
